Photoshop planning

I don't necessarily want my photography to have an emotional impact on the reader but I do want it to stand out and to capture the reader when they pass by or when they start to read the magazine. I want them to instantly know who the magazine is based upon and what it is about. The personnel that I will need is one model as that is the main image for the magazine. I am going to photography one of my friends who has accepted to be the model for the magazine. I will not need any props as I will be getting central shots. I may need a chair but the person at the photo studio has informed me that he has a chair that I can use which I have seen and is suitable for the photo shoots.I am going to emphasise colour by using different lights and shaded which make different effects. Yes I have briefed my model on what I want her to wear and what her hair and makeup should be like. Plus we have discussed what would look best and what would appeal to my audience. Also I have had to inform my model on what day that I am going to the studio and what time that I have booked it for. When I am there I am hoping to try a variety of lights to see what works well and what does not with my model, with the lighting it can either make it look to bright or to dark so I will have to find the right consistency works well and which one does not. I can also use colures lighting which could make the effect of different colors shining through. I will be shooting at the local university that is situated not far from where I am based. My teacher had informed me and my class that previous students had used the photo studio and we would be allowed to use it again. This was very helpful as it was very close and accessible for me to use and all of the equipment was there and already set up which helped me a lot. For my backdrop I want it to be plane and white, this is so that it can act as a blank space meaning that I can create any image that I want. If I had chosen to use a pictured backdrop or an outdoors area it would have been harder to get the right photo that I want as other aspects, such as tress or traffic may have been a problem. For the makeup and costume I had done a lot of research into what would fit onto my magazine and the whole look of it, because my magazine is based on alternative rock, I wanted it to look maturer than a pop magazine would, I had to make sure that the model that I am going to use dresses appropriately for the shoot, I have chosen to go for quite a minimalist look with black jeans and a plain white top as this is what a lot of the celebrities are wearing as they go for the more casual look yet still trying to be smart. For the makeup I have decided to go for plain but effective colours.
